Retro-reflective chromakey systems depend on two integrated technologies – an LED light ring centrally located around the lens, generating a low-lumen green or blue directional light; and of course, THE REFLECTIVE BACKGROUND!
LEDchromaKEY.com’s manufactures its backdrops in-house, in the USA, from materials made in Canada. They are made of special material that has millions of tiny glass beads on the reflective surface that act parabolic mirrors, reflecting light back directly at a 90 degree angle from the source, with a gain (an INCREASE IN INTENSITY) of 2.5 times the original source. THE REFLECTIVE PROPERTIES ARE VERY FORGIVING. Retro-reflective material may be imperfect to the naked eye – blemishes are common. Typically, seams, blemishes, ripples and wrinkles will all disappear when the LED light is engaged, providing for a fantastic chromakey.
You may wipe the background down using ONLY a clean, soft, fabric cloth, dampened with WARM WATER only. Chemicals and oils may damage the retro-reflective coating.
